We have started setting up your Site Speed Dashboard, and need a few things from you to get rolling.
Next steps:
☐ Competitors
-
Please send over a list of the top 10 domains you’d like to monitor, whether they're competitive or complimentary.
-
This is a good opportunity to loop in, or delegate to someone in Marketing, as they’re likely keenly aware of your competition in the customer’s mind, and competitive SEO ranking.
☐ GA4 API Access
Our Site Speed Audit merges your user behaviour data with site speed analysis data to prioritize the hot-spots to focus on. To accomplish this we pull a periodic feed from your Google Analytics account.
-
We require view-level access on your main GA4 reporting property.
-
Ideally excluding internal office, and in-store-kiosk traffic, if applicable.
-
Please send us the corresponding GA4 property ID from which we will read
-
-
On the same property please grant “Viewer” level access to the following email address, at the property level:
☐ Page Types
URLs often follow a predefined structure for most Page Types. Please share the set of string matching rules for matching URLs to Page Types for us to categorize your URLs as we scan them.
-
We have created a guide to our recommended Page Type taxonomy, which would make it easier for you to delegate to someone internally.
(E.g. often Product pages contain /p/ in the URL, or Categories have /c/ in the URL.)
Please send your responses to [email protected] to get rolling.
From there we’ll have your dashboard ready and share competitive trends in a couple weeks.
We're obsessed with smoothing out the friction in this onboarding process, and want to make it as turnkey as possible. Your feedback is always welcome, so if you have comments or suggestions on this please share.
Thanks!
